Equilibrium, a mentoring programme for women in business, non-profit and other strands of their working lives, is at the forefront of empowering and supporting women in their personal and professional endeavors. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment where women can thrive, break barriers, and achieve their full potential.

  • 2011

    Launch of Equilibrium with 12 mentoring couples.

  • 2014

    Equilibrium started to offer Educational workshops for both Mentors and Mentees focusing on personal development.

  • 2015

    Launch of Happy Hours networking event with inspirational stories shared by leaders in the international and Czech community.

  • 2016

    Milestone reached of 100 mentoring couples taking part in the Equilibrium programme. Happy Hours networking event rebranded to a more regular ‘My Story’ event. First Alumni conference organised with the inspiring Manal Al Sharif (Saudi women’s rights activist) as keynote speaker.

  • 2017

    Launch of the Equilibrium Steering Committee in Prague. Dream –  Dare – Share became the motto for the Equilibrium Mentoring Programme.

  • 2018

    Equilibrium branches out to other regions in the Czech Republic with Ostrava and Brno regional coordinators joining the Steering Committee. The 1st Dream – Dare – Share event takes place with Zimbabwean activist Nyaradzo Mashayamombe.

  • 2019

    Equilibrium hosted its’ second Alumni Conference.

  • 2020

    Equilibrium goes ‘hybrid’. Due to COVID quick pivot to online which helped the expansion of the programme internationally.

  • 2021

    Equilibrium celebrated its’ 10-year anniversary at the British Embassy in Prague.

  • 2022

    Equilibrium starts offering scholarships to Ukrainian women and young professionals.

  • 2023

    Launch of ‘Thursday Taboo Talk’s an online event tackling sensitive topics as part of the BCC DEI initiatives.
