Last week marked a significant milestone for the Equilibrium Mentoring Programme as we gathered at the British Embassy for the closing session of our 13th editiom. It was an evening filled with reflection, inspiration, and meaningful connections as Mentors, Mentees, and supporters came together to celebrate the culmination of another successful year.
The evening began with an enriching interview with Monika Marečková led by Kristin Parpel, shedding light on her career and life experiences. Amidst networking opportunities, another highlight of the evening was our partnership with Sue Ryder, a charity close to our hearts. Through your generous donations, we contributed towards the purchase of a new elevator for the Sue Ryder Home. This contribution will significantly enhance the daily lives of residents, making the home more accessible and welcoming for all.
See below a heartfelt letter of gratitude to all of you from Matěj Lejsal, Director of Sue Ryder:
“Dear Mentors and Mentees,
We would like to express our sincere thanks to you for your generous financial donation towards the purchase of a new elevator at the Sue Ryder Home. The new elevator will greatly improve the quality of life for our residents and make it easier for them to move around the building on a daily basis. Thanks to you, our home will be an even more welcoming and accessible place for everyone who spends time here.
If you would like to follow its progress, you can check out our website www.darekprosueryder.cz.
We are not finished yet that is why the fundraising for the new lift is still ongoing. Any further support or help with spreading the word is still welcome. Thank you again for your support and the trust you have shown in us with your gift. We wish you every success in your personal and professional lives and look forward to many more opportunities to work with you.”
Yours sincerely,
Matěj Lejsal
