At the British Chamber of Commerce, mentoring is a core element of our identity. This is why our collaboration with Kérastase, a leading luxury haircare brand from L’Oréal, on the Power Talks initiative felt like a perfect match. 🤝 Power Talks is an innovative flash mentoring program aimed at helping young women between 18 and 29 feel more confident and ready to take on the world.
The mentees get to experience the power and benefits of mentoring in a short but impactful session. The concept of flash mentoring is based on one powerful mentoring session, which can encourage the mentee to work on themselves further and boost their self-confidence. It focuses on building their confidence, teaching important career skills, and helping them create useful connections. It’s like getting a quick taste of mentoring magic.
Recently, Silvia Bušniaková, the Managing Director of BCC, discussed this initiative on the Vogue Beauty Talk podcast. 🎙️ Alongside Adéla Karlovská, an expert in mentoring, lecturer, and coach, they talked about the significance of mentoring. They explained that even one hour of mentoring can make a big difference, helping young women feel more confident and guiding them toward the best paths at the start of their careers.
The podcast also shared advice that could help the younger generation and explained how mentoring is different from coaching. The podcast points out how such programs can truly change young women’s lives, giving them the tools and support they need to succeed. This podcast episode not only highlights the Power Talks initiative but also underscores the value of all mentoring programs, including Equilibrium, in supporting and empowering women in all aspects of their lives.
