My Story with Šárka Fuchsová

We are pleased to invite you to the first My Story event of this edition, featuring Šárka Heyna Fuchsová, Managing Director of Volvo Car Czech Republic, whose 27-year career at Volvo Cars reflects extensive international leadership experience, business transformation, and a strong commitment to authentic and inclusive leadership.

During the event, Šárka will share key insights from her career journey, including lessons on stepping outside your comfort zone, embracing change, finding your own leadership style, and supporting others in reaching their full potential.

Šárka Heyna Fuchsová is Managing Director of Volvo Car Czech Republic and one of the few women to have reached the highest executive level in the automotive industry. Since joining Volvo Cars 27 years ago, she has led major business transformations and, in 2020, took on the challenge of leading Volvo Cars Denmark, gaining valuable international experience during a period of unprecedented change across the mobility sector.

Throughout her career, Šárka has built her leadership journey by stepping outside her comfort zone and embracing opportunities that initially seemed intimidating. Working across different countries, cultures, and business environments has shaped her belief that authentic leadership is not about fitting into expectations, but about finding your own voice, staying true to your values, and creating an environment where others can thrive.

Alongside her executive responsibilities, she has spent more than a decade mentoring women and supporting future female leaders. Passionate about personal growth, diversity, and inclusive leadership, Šárka is known for her people-first approach and her commitment to helping others unlock their potential. Her story is one of courage, continuous learning, and the belief that meaningful careers are rarely linear, but are built through curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to embrace change.
