The 16th edition of the Equilibrium Mentoring Programme officially began on 23 September, bringing together mentors, mentees, partners and members of the Equilibrium community for its Opening Session at the Residence of the Lord Mayor of Prague.
The evening marked the beginning of a new mentoring journey for this year’s participants, offering the first opportunity to meet one another, connect with the Equilibrium Steering Committee and team, and look ahead to the months to come.
The programme opened with a musical performance by Karolína Harvanová, student at Park Lane International School, accompanied on piano by Lada Batošová, followed by opening remarks from Pavel Fara, Petra Ondrušová, Ivona Žitná, Eva Shaw and Kristin La Ronca Parpel.
A highlight of the evening was the keynote speech by Adriana Jahňáková, Founder of AJ Vision Lab, who shared insights drawn from nearly three decades of international business and leadership experience. Her career has included senior roles at Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Plzeňský Prazdroj and LEGO, where she served as General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia and later as Vice President of Global Marketing.
We were also delighted to introduce CARE Czech Republic as the charity partner of the 16th edition. Katarína Král, together with CARE Ambassador Celeste Buckingham, introduced the organisation’s work and its mission to support people and communities affected by poverty, conflict and humanitarian crises around the world.
The formal programme was followed by networking, giving mentors and mentees plenty of time to meet, reconnect and start building new relationships. The evening concluded with a charity raffle in support of CARE Czech Republic, with prizes generously contributed by members and partners of the Equilibrium community.
The Opening Session was just the beginning. Over the coming months, participants will take part in workshops, My Story sessions, BCC Talks, community events and other opportunities designed to complement their individual mentoring relationships.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the start of Equilibrium 16 such a memorable evening. We look forward to everything this new edition will bring.
Dream. Dare. Share.
