Following the Opening Session of the 16th edition of Equilibrium, our mentors and mentees took part in a series of Mentors’ & Mentees’ Essentials sessions designed to prepare them for the mentoring journey ahead.
Four sessions were held in total – two online and two in person. The offline Mentees’ Essentials took place at the British Embassy Prague, with opening remarks from Equilibrium Steering Committee members Kate Davenport and Eva Shaw. The offline Mentors’ Essentials was hosted by Park Lane International School, one of the core partners of Equilibrium 16.
All four sessions were led by Kristin LaRonca Parpel, member of the Equilibrium Steering Committee. The sessions focused on how to build a successful mentoring relationship, from setting expectations and meaningful goals to effective communication and making the most of the months ahead.
A key theme throughout was the importance of openness and trust between mentor and mentee, creating a strong foundation for honest conversations, shared learning and growth on both sides.
With the Essentials sessions complete, our mentors and mentees are now ready to begin their individual mentoring journeys as part of Equilibrium 16.
Dream. Dare. Share.
